If you’re not following words.for.her on Instagram yet, I suggest you do so immediately.

The #WordsForHer Movement is a focus on female encouragement, in poetic form. The book promoting this movement is free and easily downloadable to any smartphone or tablet.

As many of  you know, female encouragement and support are very important to me. We spend a lot of our lives competing with each other, trying to be better then the other, or trying to drag each other down, maybe subconsciously. This isn’t entirely our fault though. At a young age,  peer pressure and meeting societal standards are two evils that take over our minds. They brainwash us and attempt to form judgements fro us rather then having us be our in independent selves. I think that’s the biggest issue of this generation for women. There isn’t much of a focus on unity. Sure, there are some campaigns that attempt to change the way we are as women when it comes to not loving one another. So why are these campaigns not really working? I think it’s because people set too high of standards, expecting issues to resolve over night.

It sounds cheesy but honestly, all you have to do is be kind to one another. I mean, if Ellen Degeneres says it then it must be true right? I understand that realistically, there’s always going to be people in this world that we don’t get along with, and that’s okay! Anytime I can, I always give compliments, always smile my biggest and brightest, and just spread some love! Honestly, what bad is going to come from being kind and smiling? Smiles are contagious!

Be kind, throw that shit around like glitter.

And don’t forget to download a free copy of words.for.her.

Until next time,
