Good morning everyone and welcome back to my blog! I’m actually writing this blog the day of my typical posting day, which is very odd for me because I like to plan things out and have my blog posts scheduled.
I thought it would be a good idea to do a little life update post for you all this morning, since there have been and will be changes. If you’ve been keeping up with my blog, instagram or YouTube channel, you’ll know that I have gotten a new job!
It’s very exciting for me, and for the first time, I think I’ve found a career and not just a job (I think there’s a difference between the two). I have a lot of responsibility, and there’s so much expected of me. I love that I am finally able to shine in the work place with new tasks and projects everyday. Plus, for the first time ever, I have my own office and phone extension, which is something I won’t be able to get over for a while.
Also, a dear friend of mine from Belgium will be visiting me the second week of May, and to say I’m excited is an understatement. She’s never been to Seattle, let alone Washington before, and I’m excited to play tourist and show her around. Seattle really is such a fun city, and it’s been quite a while since I’ve been down there.
Not only am I excited about her visit, but also for all the content that I will be sharing! Between blog posts, YouTube videos, and Instagram stories, make sure you’re following me on all platforms so you won’t miss a thing!
Okay, now here’s the big news: in the June/July time frame, Kolani and I will be moving. We’re not going far, but we will be moving into a house, specifically his parents former home. This opportunity is a little complicated, but we’re excited for the change, because we believe it will be much more suitable for our lifestyle the next few years.
As you know, Kolani is currently pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, which is great but also exhausting and time consuming. With me working full time at my new job and him going to school full time, we’ve had to really sit down and discuss important things like living arrangements and such.
There is a slight catch though. As long as we’re living in this house, we have a maximum of 3 years to live there while renovating it. Kolani is very excited to tackle a project like this, he says we’ll be like Chip & Joanna Gaines! But in all seriousness, I’m looking forward to it too. Kolani has urged me to create house renovation content for you guys, whether it blog posts or vlogs (I haven’t decided yet), I think it’s going to be fun. A lot of hard work, but fun. Let’s face it, we all know how addicting HGTV is.
I’m also working hard on another project, which I’ll hopefully be able to tell you about before Fall this year, but more to come on that later.
It’s currently been a little difficult juggling new content ideas for YouTube, the blog, while working and preparing for the move. I appreciate all of your patience and for sticking with me along this wild ride!
Looking forward to Seattle Vlogs or House Renovation Videos?
Let me know in the comments below!
I’ll see you guys next time, same time, same place!
