Okay, I’ll be honest, when I originally had this post planned, I was doing a completely different fitness routine. I think it’s important to not be afraid of mixing up your fitness routine in order to stay interested and motivated.
For a while, I would start my mornings with ride on my spin bike, then followed with an ab routine, weights, squats, and other movements on my mat. I really liked it, I was consistent and it was a really good routine.
But then it started feeling more like something I had to do and I wasn’t looking forward to it anymore. I stopped working out for a couple weeks, just because I didn’t want to force myself to do something that I didn’t enjoy.
So, for the past week or so, I’ve been doing dance workouts and oh my GOD are they fun! I don’t even feel like I’m working out but either way I’m drenched in sweat by the end of the workout. I’m really enjoying these Disney HIIT dance workouts specifically, because who doesn’t love Disney?
I think the thing about fitness is to remain consistent, but that doesn’t mean sticking to a routine you don’t enjoy. That’s why I modified it. Maybe I’ll get tired of this in a few weeks and instead I prefer to take Ava and Archer on a long walk. Who knows!
Mix it up, have fun, stay consistent and keep your healthy a priority.
