Have you ever had hobbies you wish you could turn into your career? Like you love doing certain activities and whatnot on the side, but how cool would it be to support yourself by doing the fun things? That’s me right now. Well, that’s actually been my mindset for quite some time.
You get jobs to support yourself, support your hobbies and pay the bills. And for a while, that was okay for me. I mean, maybe I will find the right job eventually but right now I’m so caught up with pursuing what I’ve been doing in my spare time.
I’m not gonna lie, the past few years have been pretty challenging working in the public and 2020 seemed to intensify those difficulties. Because of that, I’ve been eager to hide away in my home behind my keyboard with my pups.
I had realized that life was too short to work at a place that didn’t make you happy, that didn’t let you grow and didn’t let you be the best version of yourself. I didn’t like the long drives to work, knowing what awaited me once I got there.
I came to a point where I even considered even taking mental health days so I could avoid feeling so exhausted at work. I think now I have this golden opportunity to maximize my creativity and see what I’m capable of (and also to see if I’d be successful at this).
I think success is determined in different ways by different people in different circumstances. Money isn’t everything, but it would be nice to be able to support myself by doing what I love and I don’t think there’s anything wrong with that.
I feel so proud to have finally written and published a book. It’s been my dream for as long as I can remember. I’ve been working like crazy on book two, and brainstorming other ideas of how to possibly create an income. This is my golden opportunity and I don’t want to waste a single minute.
